once upon a long long time
every thing was black or white
with shining light to guide us to the dawn
to the dawn now there’s only grey
and the light has dimmed away
this ship of fools is shinking in the storm
i was young ‘till yesterday
believed the tales they told
i was young ‘till yesterday
but now i’m ready to grow old
everything is going to be
just the way it’s got to be
a man can’t change the colour of the sky
everybody’s making plans
pointing guns and waving flags
but i’m not sure that any side is right
